Margaret Holt founded Holt Learning, a full-service corporate education firm in 1983, after recognizing the increasing importance of corporate employee development in the Fortune 500 community. She quickly established an impressive roster of clients that includes Chase Manhattan Bank, Credit Suisse, MetLife, Merrill Lynch, Pfizer, General Electric, Federal Reserve Bank, MasterCard International, Citibank, Colgate-Palmolive Company, Fannie Mae and major New York City law firms.

Prior to establishing her own corporation, Margaret was appointed to an elite entrepreneurial management team at Dun & Bradstreet that marketed a computer voice delivery service. This team reported directly to the President of Dun & Bradstreet.

Previously, Mrs. Holt spent more than 10 years with General Electric as Manager of the Eastern Business District, Manager of National Client Services, Manager of Resource Analysis and Manager of Telecommunications Engineering in the General Electric Information Services Division. During her tenure at General Electric, she supervised more than 100 sales and technical specialists across the United States. Her international experience includes designing international computer applications for ITT Data Services based in London. She was also part of the Apollo Project team while working with Bell Laboratories in Washington D.C.

A native of West Virginia, Margaret attended Randolph-Macon Woman's College and received a B.S. degree from West Virginia University where she majored in Mathematics and minored in Physics. She was nominated for Outstanding Alumna in 1991.

Mrs. Holt has been featured in Working Woman magazine, France's Femme d'entreprise magazine, Computer World, Intercorp and other publications.

Margaret served on New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani's Small Business Advisory Board that addresses unique issues relevant to small businesses in New York. As a member of the Board of Directors at Murry Bergtraum High School for Business, Mrs. Holt established the Holt/MB Faculty Advancement Program that offers Holt courses to faculty and administrators at no cost. She recently participated in an international summit for woman business owners held in Paris and The Hague, sponsored by the U.S Department of Commerce.
